The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu is currently meeting behind closed doors with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, according to Punch. The meeting is holding a few hours after thugs invaded the Senate chambers and disappeared with the mace.
It is not yet known exactly what the two are discussing, but it is not unconnected with the recent development that happened in the Senate.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari and Senate President Bukola Saraki are all abroad on official assignment. While Buhari is currently in London, Bukola Saraki, is in Washington.
