Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he is a completely different player to Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Salah has been a revelation in the Premier League this season following a return of 32 goals in 36 games in the English top flight.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 times in the Champions League to help the Reds reach the Champions League final for the first time since 2007.

Salah scored 44 times in all competitions in the current campaign to prompt comparisons between Ronaldo and the Liverpool FC no11.

The Champions League final has been billed as a straight shootout between Ronaldo and Salah for the European Cup.

However, Ronaldo played down comparisons between the Real Madrid legend and the Egypt international ahead of the Kiev showpiece.

“Not really,” Ronaldo is quoted as saying by Metro.

“He is completely different. He plays with the left, I play with the right. I’m tall he’s a little bit shorter, I play with the head.

“We are completely different. People want to compare me with other players but I’m different from everyone.

“Salah is different but I have to say he has had a fantastic Champions League a fantastic league season, but Saturday, let’s see.”

Liverpool FC were 7-6 aggregate winners against AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals to secure their place in the European Cup showpiece.

The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a place in the Champions League in successive seasons.

The Merseyside outfit signed Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.
