The Real Madrid legend believes he isn’t a similar player to Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he is a completely different player to Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Salah has been a revelation in the Premier League this season following a return of 32 goals in 36 games in the English top flight.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 times in the Champions League to help the Reds reach the Champions League final for the first time since 2007.

Salah scored 44 times in all competitions in the current campaign to prompt comparisons between Ronaldo and the Liverpool FC no11.

The Champions League final has been billed as a straight shootout between Ronaldo and Salah for the European Cup.

However, Ronaldo played down comparisons between the Real Madrid legend and the Egypt international ahead of the Kiev showpiece.

“Not really,” Ronaldo is quoted as saying by Metro.

“He is completely different. He plays with the left, I play with the right. I’m tall he’s a little bit shorter, I play with the head.

“We are completely different. People want to compare me with other players but I’m different from everyone.

“Salah is different but I have to say he has had a fantastic Champions League a fantastic league season, but Saturday, let’s see.”

Liverpool FC were 7-6 aggregate winners against AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals to secure their place in the European Cup showpiece.

The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a place in the Champions League in successive seasons.

The Merseyside outfit signed Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.

See what Messi said about Real Madrid players

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has made shocking comments about Real Madridplayers, according to the report in ESPN.

Messi admits Real Madrid ‘has the best players in the world’

“Position by position, Madrid have the best players in the world,”  “[Barca] do as well, but Madrid has something that only they have. When they play badly, they still get results. We have to be the far superior side to win.

“The Champions League [loss was a mistake]. Given the [4-1] advantage we had before the second leg, we [should have reached] the semifinal. It was a huge disappointment.

“[But] it motivates me to see Madrid in the Champions League final again; to see them winning leagues. I want to win the Champions League every year. I want to be a league champion every year — it’s what we all want.” Messi told TyC Sports.

Crazy’ Coach After FA Cup Defeat, Says Player & Coach Don’t Have To Be Friends

Crazy’ Coach After FA Cup Defeat, Says Player & Coach Don’t Have To Be Friends

France international world cup-bound Paul Pogba has called Jose Mourinho ‘the craziest’ after their disappointing 1-0 FA Cup loss to Chelsea

Mourinho and Pogba

While speaking in an interview with Canal+, Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba dislcosed that he and his club’s manager, Jose Mourinho do not need to get along, saying that “a coach and a player don’t have to be best friends.”

The 2017-18 season was punctuated by friction between the pair with Pogba playing a cameo role at times, notably in the UEFA Champions League round-of-16 defeat to Sevilla.

“There were times when I wasn’t playing, I was on the bench,” Pogba said. “People talked about it a lot. They thought things weren’t going well, but a coach and a player don’t have to be best friends. We don’t have to go to a restaurant together.

“I had some little niggles, too. Football is all in the head. He put me on the bench, I respond on the pitch, I give my all every time.”

Evasive on his future, Pogba said; “You’re never sure of anything, [but] contractually, it’s certain, yes,” when asked if he would be at United next season, he was more forthcoming when asked in a video message from Mario Balotelli whether Mourinho was “good” at United.

“He’s just the same, he’s crazy,” said Pogba, who was then asked to compare himself with Mourinho. “He’s crazier, because he can be. As a player, you can’t just do what you want.”

In the two seasons the pair have been together in Manchester, Pogba acknowledged he had improved under Mourinho.

“He has made me progress in terms of leadership,” he said. “I had the captain’s armband with Mourinho. It’s the first time at a club. It’s important for me. It’s helped me grow to become a leader for the France team, too.”

See What Cristiano Ronaldo Was caught Doing With His Girlfriend And Son Ahead of UCL Final

Good times: Injury gave Cristiano Ronaldo the opportunity to spend some quality time with his family during a weekend break in Ibiza on Saturday afternoon while Real Madrid won another three points at the Santiago Bernabeu

Injury gave Cristiano Ronaldo the opportunity to spend some quality time with his family on Saturday afternoon while Real Madrid won another three points at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Portuguese striker, currently side-lined with an ankle injury, enjoyed a weekend in Ibiza with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and young son Cristiano, Jr as his side disposed of hapless Celta Vigo with a comfortable 6-0 victory.

With temperatures dropping to an unseasonable 15 degrees on the Balearic party island, Ronaldo, 33, wrapped up in a thick hooded top as they made their way across the beach.

Skinny jeans and trainers added to his causal appearance, while a jaunty baseball cap and tinted Aviator sunglasses partially concealed his instantly recognisable features.

Walking alongside her boyfriend, Georgina looked less than impressed with the gloomy spring weather as the couple prepared to take a  boat ride across the choppy  Mediterranean waters.

Draping a denim shirt across her shoulders, the sultry brunette hugged herself while making her way across the sand.

Opting to wear a form-fitting black dress during her latest appearance with Ronaldo, Georgina once again showed off the stunning figure she’s maintained following the birth of daughter Alana, her first child with the footballer, in November.

With a small boat waiting to take them back to their luxury yacht, Ronaldo looked on as the Spanish beauty removed her flip flops and gingerly climbed aboard.

The Real Madrid ace quickly followed, accompanied by his oldest son, nine-year old Cristiano Jr.

The youngster ensured he stayed safe by wearing a large yellow life jacket as the family were whisked back to the comparative luxury of their larger boat.

As well as fathering Cristiano Jnr and Alana, Ronaldo has also fathered his twins via a surrogate mother in the United States.

In March the footballer found himself at the centre of allegations surrounding a barrage of ‘late night texts’ sent to English glamour model Rhian Sugden.

Rhian, who is engaged to actor Oliver Mellor, 36, was reportedly left alone after her fiance sent Cristiano a warning to back off.

‘Ronaldo bombards Rhian with messages periodically,’ a source told The Sun.

The footballer is currently recovering from a sprained ankle sustained during Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw with fierce rivals FC Barcelona.

Despite being injured, the player is adamant he will be back for the Spanish side’s Champion’s League final showdown with Liverpool at the end of May.
